HELP ABOUT STORAGE PLEASE :)

HELP ABOUT STORAGE PLEASE :)

Hello dear Spotify community, 🙂

I was wondering, does the same music in multiple playlists will take more storage?

(I'm talking about Local Storage, not about the Internet Data it takes to download same song several times.)

So, if I download, for Offline use, one song and that I add it in 3playlists. Will it count as 3 songs, and need local storage as it would do for 3 differents songs?

Or will Spotify recognize it's the same song, and then have it in one ''Playlist Folder'' and just create a ''Link/Shortcut'' for this song for other playlists?

**In short : Should I avoid downloading the same song in several playlists since it'd take more space in my local phone storage?**

Thanks for your time! 😄

Hi there!  I had this same question when I first started using Spotify, but I've found that each specific song is only downloaded one time!

Hey @Orth0,

Your question can be answered simply.
Every song is unique so if it isn't the same song name from another album it only downloads one time.
So if you download song X on playlist Y
Song X will be also downloaded in playlist W.

I love your text colours!
