How to save the playlist on the microSD card?

Hello guys,

I'm new with the spotify premium and I was trying to download my playlist into my cell (LG Prime II) but I can only save it in the internal memory, which sux since I only have 4GB.

I tried to move it to my 64GB microSD card but I couldn't find that option in the settings. I also tried to follow, step-by-step, the guideline of this link (PT-BR btw), but it was worthless, since the settings menu does not show the storage option. My conclusion was that the version of that guideline was a previous one and something must've changed.

Is it still possible to save the playlist on the microSD? Can someone help me, please.

Thank you

Hey @abasilio91

I found this post:

https://community.spotify.com/t5/Android/How-to-store-offline-music-on-the-external-SD-card-on-andri...

"Just make sure you have an Android/data/com.spotify.music folder on your external SD card. Once this folder exists, a new option Storage is available on Spotify Settings. There you can swith to SD Card. Worked for me on Adroid 5.0."

Someone else said to just go to that location and create a folder titled that.

I also found another post:

They said:

1. delete downloaded songs

2. go to device storage/android/data -> move com.spotify.music to SD memory card /android/data (It might already be there i'd just overwrite it, donno if it matter or not)

3. download songs

Hopefully that helps! I had the same problem and I can't remember what I did, but I think I just did the second one which is to move the folder to the SD card.

Hey @MattSuda

Unbelieveable how I didn't think to move the folder. Thank you very much

If someone try that, one thing to say: the folder was hidden when I tried to move it with the PC. I had to do it using the phone.

Thank you again

You're welcome! 🙂
