I can't download music on my SD card - Huawei P9

Solved!

I can't download music on my SD card - Huawei P9

Hi,

I'm premium user and would like to download offline music to my SD card.

i found this instructions:

https://support.spotify.com/cr/using_spotify/search_play/save-to-sd-card/

However, when i follow the instructions, I do not even find the option to choose between internal memory and SD. (I have 40 free Gb in my SD Card...)

Thanks in advance for your support

I found this post:

https://community.spotify.com/t5/Android/How-to-store-offline-music-on-the-external-SD-card-on-andri...

"Just make sure you have an Android/data/com.spotify.music folder on your external SD card. Once this folder exists, a new option Storage is available on Spotify Settings. There you can swith to SD Card. Worked for me on Adroid 5.0."

Someone else said to just go to that location and create a folder titled that.

I also found another post:

They said:

1. delete downloaded songs

2. go to device storage/android/data -> move com.spotify.music to SD memory card /android/data (It might already be there i'd just overwrite it, donno if it matter or not)

3. download songs

Hopefully that helps! I had the same problem and I can't remember what I did, but I think I just did the second one which is to move the folder to the SD card.

Doesn't work for me, tried everything what is recommended here. If my standard path for harddisk on my Huawei Mate 9 is switched to "SD Card" there's no option to choose in Spotify (internal or SD Card). It just saves all offline songs to the internal harddisk although SD Card is chosen for standard path (works fine with photos etc.). It only appears if I choose internal harddisk for standard path... but that's not what I want!

I'm experiencing the same issue, up until a few days ago everything was fine but I'm assuming a software update has changed something. Anyway, now in have the same issue as you.

Did you manage to find a fix?

Same issue.  Grrrr! Did you solve?

Somehow it got solved but Don really know how sorry.
Try to uninstall and reinstall... Plus you got to have more space available
in the SD than in the phone.
Cheers.
