I cannot turn shuffle off

I am using Spotify Android on a Sony Xperia Z and cannot turn shuffle off or start a song of my own choice. 

If I try to start my own song, the Shuffle Play button pulses and that is the only button I can press. When I try to turn shuffle off while music is playing, it says I have discovered a premium feature and doesn't let me turn off shuffle (I don't have premium).

So basically, turning shuffle off is Premium now?
