I don't want video podcasts --- stupid idea !

jumped on this app which I never used because of JRE podcast (which was kind of the point for them to bring him in ) but it is clearly not designed for podcasts ! Why would you make me download a video for a podcast I want to listen to ONLY.

it is eating a lot of space on my Samsung note 9, very slow to download, kills my 4G data quota, and kills the battery !!! How was that a good idea?!?!?!?!

I have been using another app for podcasts and it doesn't do this messy stuff...get your act together !!

I tried all the options but the only choice I have is just download both audio/video , or download audio only podcasts (from options) which forces the app to stream the video anyhow killing my data plan !

I have to run hoops and prevent apps permissions (for. Spotify) from using mobile data and they talk about an offline mode which I don't have although I have the latest version...this is a podcast cluster fudge .

Optimize your app for podcasts, it is clearly not made for that...or make a standalone podcast app... or it will be bye bye Spotify and JRE very , very soon, not only for me but for many who are complaining about this right now !

For now it's not possible to play the podcast episodes separating audio from video. However, we recommend having a look at this Live Idea suggesting the implementation of an option allowing users to listen to video podcasts in audio only. 

You can support the idea by adding your +VOTE and clicking on Subscribe in the three-dots menu at the top right corner next to the title. That'll make sure you stay up-to-date with any relevant updates about this. It’s also worth knowing that the higher the number of votes an idea gets, the more likely it is for the idea to be implemented.
