Hi ! I am trying to download Spotify app through Google Play in my Huawei P30 lite, but it says that the device is not compatible. I didn't have any problem with previous Huaweis, can anyone give me a hand with thi? Otherwise I will have to cancel my premium account.

My Question or Issue
Hey @celiadelcampo87, thanks for reaching out to the Community!
Sorry for the delayed response, but maybe I can still help.
As long as that device has Android OS 4.1 or above as the software version, the Spotify app should be compatible with that device. Checking your original post, it seems like the app is compatible with your device!
Could you try restarting your device to see if the issue persists? If restarting the device doesn’t help, can you attach a screenshot of the error message you receive, so I can take a closer look?
Let me know how this goes!
Hi!
Thanks for your feedback. I've tried with switching on and off but the issue persists. My phone has an Android OS 10.0 so I think it shouldn't give me problems. However, when I try to download it from Google Play, I find the error message saying that 'your device is not compatible with this version' as the attached screenshot.
Thanks in advance!
Hey @celiadelcampo87,
Thank you for the screenshot.
Does this happen when you try to download the app from here?
I have Huawei p40 lite and neither in app gallery nor Amazon appstore allows me to download, it says that it is not avaible for my phone and obviously I don't have Google services due to knowns reasons.
Hey there @Anitatormember,
Thanks for posting and welcome to the Community!
There's another thread with a similar question here containing some solutions worth checking. We also recommend checking the country settings on both the AppGallery and Amazon to make sure they're correct.
If all of the above checks out but you still get the error, you may want to take a look at the steps here in the HUAWEI Community or get in touch with their support team.
If you have any other questions we're always one reply away 🙂
Cheers!
Yes, unfortunately, it has the same message and I cannot download the app.
Hey there folks,
Thanks for your replies.
Since newer Huawei devices do not support Google Play we cannot guarantee that they will allow the installation of the Spotify app. Your other option would be downloading it from the Amazon store or try using a VPN.
Nevertheless there is this workaround described here in the Huawei forums. This method of installation involves third party apps and we cannot guarantee that this is safe and/or working. Consider trying this at your own risk.
Hope you find this info useful.
Hi there!
I also have a Huawei P30 Lite as well but with different concern and no one replied to my post here.
Hi there @Tonskyi,
We've just replied to your original post, check it out 🙂
Cheers.
