Is the shuffle mode really shuffle?

Hi!

I very often use the shuffle mode to play all song in my Spotify Library. Usually I use Spotify when I go to work by bike for 40 minutes. In my library I have about 430 song.

My observation is that, there is a set of few songs that are served me very often. But there is also the rest which I don't hear for months.

Could you review shuffling algorithm which is use in Android version of Spotify? Or could you explain how it works and why the distribution is not close to uniform.

Spotify version 1.0.0.82

Android version: 4.3.1 (CyanogenMod 10.2.0)

Phone: Samsung Galaxy S3 (i9300).
