Issue downloading on wifi

Issue downloading on wifi

I'm trying to download a playlist at home on my wifi, but when I press download, Spotify says: "Go to Settings to download using cellular"

Why?

I am on wifi, I don't want to download using cellular.

I've checked the available space on my phone, and am well below the limit of 3333 songs to download to listen to offline.

Any suggestions?

Cheers.

Hi. Is this using your home wifi? Are you able to try downloading over a friend's wifi to rule out any problems with yours?

Yeah I am. New to the area and don't know anyone really, so checking on somebody else's is out.

Never had this problem before.

Try restarting your router and mobile to see if that helps. Are you able to download a small playlist over mobile data? If restarting your router and phone doesn't work, try reinstalling spotify following the steps here.

Same issues here... If I have to delete and DL a playlist everytime I have an issue maybe spotify isn't for me.

So I forced the app to stop in Applications and it fixed the problem. Force stop seems to work

That's worked for me.

Thanks for the heads up, although it's not a satisfactory long term solution!
