My Question or Issue
I'm having issues when sharing a song to instagram stories, it shows on the Spotify app but when I try to post it to my Instagram Story it doesn't show the canvas, only the artwork and the name of the song on a solid background. I've cleared the cache on both apps and have also uninstalled/installed both apps, the issue persists. I've attached a short video of the issue
Logging out and logging in only temporarily fixes the issue. When I log out and log back in, the + symbol used for adding songs to the library is also reverted back to a heart.
Anyway, canvas works after this for a while but if the Spotify app is removed from recently opened apps and started again, it stops working.
Even my logging out and in it won't fix the issue, at least for me. Considering that I've the very latest update of Spotify and Instagram I find frankly incredible that this function is disrupted. Please can you fix it ASAP?? And you have increased the price too...

Hi there,
I can see everyone facing the same problem when sharing it via Instagram stories but it does work with Facebook and anyone can start sharing it to the Facebook stories and make sure you use same account synced with and turned on Facebook to Instagram stories at first to share automatically together with ig if not. In the meantime, you can still share to Facebook stories with video background visuals while the Spotify team works on fixing the Canvas shares. (This is a temporary solution for those who seek to use this feature as they want) hope it might be helpful in case until this is fixed
How is fixing this going to take weeks? I feel like lately Spotify has been so buggy and now it takes weeks to fix mistakes like this ...
Spotify version 8.8.74.652 and I still haven't received any fix yet.
An alternative is that you can still share Spotify Canvas to Facebook Stories, then share that to Instagram.

Hope that this issue can be resolved soon 😢 I really love the canvas background instead of sharing it as solid colour in IG story..
mine isn’t working either 😞 i tried diff things & it works on facebook story but i want it on instagram.

I’ve been having this problem for weeks too.
Guys stop to advise to share via Facebook and then to Instagram because many people, incredibly, don't have Facebook and also this is not a solution but a workaround, a temporary fix. This issue is ongoing for weeks but I might say a month and still nothing. I don't want to blame nobody but to increase the price were super fast and "efficient" to fix something like this is taking weeks. Convince me I'm wrong.
