Hey @Djturnitup360,

Thanks for reaching out.

If you haven't already, we'd first recommend making sure Bluetooth and Location permissions are fully enabled for Spotify in your phone’s settings, and that Bluetooth is actually enabled.

You can also test with another Spotify account (such as a friend's, relative's or a new account for testing purposes) on the same device to rule out account-specific issues.

Keep us posted on how it goes.

Thank you so much!

I've been having the same problem but only when I'm using my earphones. it says [auto invite is not eligible for this device] but when I disconnect that said earphones the auto invite just stays on. why is that?

Have you tried it with any other Bluetooth headphones is it just a certain headphone

I'm not in possession of other bluetooth devices sadly I'll test it soon with a friend thanks

Confirming I'm having the same issue.

Jam works with phone speaker.

Not available with: Bose soundlink Colour 2, or sennheiser momentum true wireless 4.

Confirming S24Ultra, Bose Speaker, & sennheiser are all running current firmware.

No option to turn on or off jams in privacy (only learn more), all Bluetooth permissions are granted, no VPN active. Any solutions?

Hi there, @MMillar426

Thanks for reaching out and welcome to the Spotify Community!

Just to confirm, have you checked if the location permission is enabled for Spotify in your phone's settings? If you've checked this and the Bluetooth and it's still not working, you can try a clean reinstall of the Spotify app (according to your phone/device).

Also, you can clear the Bose Soundlink Colour 2 paired device memory, this can help fixing connection glitches. You just have to power on the speaker and then press and hold the Bluetooth button for about 10 seconds until you hear a tone.

Regarding the Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 4 earbuds, those can sometimes have issues when connected to multiple devices simultaneously, especially with Spotify Connect. So, you can try disconnecting the earbuds from any other paired devices. In your device's Bluetooth settings, forget the "MOMENTUM TW4" and then re-pair them.

I'm having the same issue in my Iphone.

Jam auto-invite only works with phone speaker.

Not available with: QCY HT05

Hey there,

Thanks for posting in this thread!

@iamnollo - just to confirm, does the option appear when using a different pair of headphones? You can also check if re-pairing the headphones Bluetooth connection makes any difference.

As mentioned by @Novy here, certain devices might have issues when connected to multiple sources at the same time. So if possible, try temporarily disconnecting any other devices that are currently not being used to see if it behaves the same way.

Should the option not appear only with the specific headphones that you mentioned, it's possible that it's related to the setup and model. It might be worth having a look through both the device's as well the headphones settings in this case.

Cheers!

I’m having the same issue my Bluetooth is on every thing is I have a iPhone 16 plus

Hey,

I tested different earbuds and the same thing happens, so it doesn’t seem to be specific to this pair. I also removed other Bluetooth devices and re-paired the earbuds, but there was no change.

On my iPhone, when I connect the earbuds, the Auto-Invite option does not appear / is disabled. However, when my girlfriend connects the same model of earbuds to her phone, Auto-Invite still appears / works normally. So it looks like the issue is specific to my iPhone (or its settings), not the earbuds.

Device: iPhone 11 Pro Max (iOS 26.2.1).

Hi there, @iamnollo

Thanks for keeping in contact!

Just to confirm, have you checked if the location permission is enabled for Spotify in your phone's settings? If you've checked this and it's still not working, you can try a clean reinstall of the Spotify app if you haven't done it yet.

Also, try logging out from all devices following these steps. Sometimes having too many sessions opened at the same time might generate some connection issues. You can check all these items, just in case some of them work:

  • Make sure your app and devices software are up-to-date.
  • Make sure both devices (your phone and the earbuds) are connected to the same network (Wi-Fi or mobile data).
  • Restart your phone.
  • Restart your earbuds.

Let us know how it goes!
