Linking Spotify with Facebook

I've been logging into Spotify with my email address for along time. Today I tried sharing a song on my Facebook from Spotify, but it didn't let me. When I click 'Connect to Facebook' I get a pop-up that says there's already a Spotify account linked to my Facebook(which is the same email address I use for my Spotify). When I tried logging in with Facebook, it took me to a completely different profile with none of my music. I've removed the app from my Facebook and tried to connect my account to it, but I still keep getting the same pop-up. If anyone can help I'd really appreciate it.
