Local files working on my laptop, but not working on my phone?

My Question or Issue

I can't for the life of me get my local files to play on my phone. I've done everything they said to ad nothing seems to work. I have the files on my laptop, I can listen to them fine and have them incorporated into my playlists. I have premium and have the playlists Downloaded onto my laptop and on my phone as well, I know they're own the same network because I can use my phone to change music on my laptop. Despite all of this, the songs are still grayed out and unplayable on my phone, despite the fact that I can still choose a grayed out song to play on my laptop from my phone. Any ideas on what I could try?
