Logged out of Spotify while in offline mode, can't login

My Question or Issue

 I've been logged out of Spotify on my Android device (maybe because of an update while I was connected to wifi). I had been in offline mode. I now cannot login via Facebook - I get an alert to connect online, I click "Connect" but keep getting the alert popping up. I can't remember my password and when I click the password reset link to my email also doesn't work (I get the prompt to connect online). I've tried the work around suggested in the other forum (other than reinstalling the app) but nothing works! Is there still no solution to this?

But the only way to fix this is to reinstall spotify! Just follow these steps.
