Lyrics won't show due to "About the Artist" info showing instead

With the latest update, artist information takes the place of lyrics for some artists. Considering there already is a way to see artist information, but no other way to see lyrics, this chage doesn't seem like it was thought through.

Same thing, I'm on android, this is a useless and deeply annoying change - just adding this for feedback so you can transmit it to the people responsible: everyone seems to dislike it

Having this same problem when attempting to view lyrics on IPhone with the latest version.

All that is shown is the artist information, live events if they’re on tour, and their merch.

I can't believe they need a million questions for this, instead of just reverting this 'feature'. It's the mobile app, EVERY mobile app. As soon as "about the artist" information is available it overrides the lyrics. Simple as that.

This also happens on Android, very frustrating. I enjoy following along albums with lyrics and some songs will have lyrics, some only show the same artist page over and over.

This problem just started for me like two weeks. Especially if he is a very well-known artist, we have no chance, we have to see the about info section. I am very frustrating and disappointed. Because obviously this awful feature has been around for many months, lot of user problems have appeared here, but nothing has been done to resolve it, and the about part has become a standard feature. We've already begged Spotify for years to bring the lyrics feature and looks like it's gone.
Even our choice is being taken away from us because of the favor of few editors and coders. What's next Spotify maybe you want to show the artist's top rated photos instead of playing music files?

Also, the same song I was listening to at noon showed the lyrics, and now it’s just showing “about the artist”, l mean, are you serious???

This unbelievable frustration just brought me here. The users started getting the feedback about this issue since May and nothing was done after 2 months, that’s really… helpful 🙃

There is no way for us to see the lyrics since your useless update "About Artist" is blocking it. Please confirm. Drop the act. Just say there is no way we are going to see it unless you say so. Stop with the useless troubleshooting.

I absolutely love that feature. It's why I listen to music on Spotify and not Apple Music.
This thread was created around 3 months ago and this still hasn't been fixed.
It can't be that hard to restore.

I am beyond baffled at this point now that this question/fiasco has STILL not been addressed by Spotify! The lyrics feature is the best one especially when we use the timer lyrics feature to hear a particular line again and again which helps casual singers like me who attempt songs for karaoke singing and else. Why would I need an "About Artist" feature when one can simply click on the artist name and reach that page of need be.🤦

Just want to bump this is still an issue for me on iPhone. Lyrics show fine normally if there’s no other info, but if there’s a ‘behind the artist’ it shows that instead and there’s no way to see lyrics
