My Question or Issue
I am having a major issue with the new Mix feature that just rolled out to my device in beta. For context, I am trying to make a transition from about 1 minute into the first song to about 15-20 seconds into the second. I am able to slide the waveform of the second song to where I want with no issue; however, whenever I try to move the waveform of the first song back, it jumps right back to where the auto mix set it to be. I understand that the feature is still in beta, but it's frustrating to have waited so long for it to roll out, only to have it not work properly. Any and all help is appreciated, thank you.
Hey @Jamal1389,
Thanks for reaching out and letting us know about your issue.
This has already been reported internally and is being investigated by the relevant team at Spotify. If we have any news to share, we'll let you know in this thread 🙂
Cheers,
Please do, thank you Mihail!!
I am having the same problem!!
Do you have any updates on this issue?
Hey @kanaa-nana @Jamal1389,
Some developments have been made to the Mix feature with the most recent app version, so make sure to update yours if you haven't yet.
Let us know if you're still experiencing the issue.
Hi @novy, thank you for replying. I am still experiencing the issue. It is slightly fixed as I can move the first song back for a little bit, but then it hits a certain point and stays stuck there; when I try to move it to an earlier point in the song it jumps right back to that point. I have tried changing all of the settings within the feature to see if it's a problem with the specific transitions I'm using, as well as with different songs but the issue persists.
I am also still experiencing the same problem as Jamal.
Thanks for getting back to us, @Jamal1389 @kanaa-nana!
We'll make sure to forward this info so that the investigation can continue, and will keep you posted when we have any news about it.
Thanks again for your patience!
I'm getting something similar. The album 'Death of Peace of Mind' by Bad Omens seems to glitch out the Mix feature completely on Android. Sometimes the green line doesnt appear when in the mix feature itself (when mixing with the above album songs into any other song) and sometimes it just ignores any mix i set up and just plays the auto feature, or just no mix at all occurs.
Hey, there! Thanks for your responses. I'm having the same problem and wondering what the timeline is for fixes on bugs like this? Thanks again.
This is deeply frustrating to me. To the point of making me want to completely give up on using the mix feature. What's the point if I can't place my transition at the actual points of the tracks I want to transition. I would even observe that this doesn't seem to be a bug but rather some kind of feature to intentionally keep some amount of minimum track length, at the incredibly annoying cost of making it impossible to actually just use the parts of the track I want to use.
My effects tab sounds buggy now the low and high filters sound horrendous on the transitions anyone else having the same problems? Was sounding fine last week
I am having a similar issue. When I play a mixed playlist it initially doesnt mix at all - the first track stops abruptly before the second track fades in. If I replay the transition it will mix and usually works for the rest of the mix. Is there a way to avoid this? Thank you!
I'm having the exact same issue. Annoying to have to go back and restart the transition.
I’m having the same issues
