My Question or Issue
I am having a major issue with the new Mix feature that just rolled out to my device in beta. For context, I am trying to make a transition from about 1 minute into the first song to about 15-20 seconds into the second. I am able to slide the waveform of the second song to where I want with no issue; however, whenever I try to move the waveform of the first song back, it jumps right back to where the auto mix set it to be. I understand that the feature is still in beta, but it's frustrating to have waited so long for it to roll out, only to have it not work properly. Any and all help is appreciated, thank you.
Posting to say that I am also having this issue. My app is up to date and I see that this has been an issue for some users since October with no real progress. I figured that you can't go back earlier than where it is mixed with another song, but the particular song that I'm trying to mix is about 2:30 mins into a 5 minute song so that shouldn't be an issue.
Related to this: I'd like to fade out (or crossfade) after minute 2 of a 10 minute track - which doesn't work at the moment, but suppose this works - then it would be very helpful to see the timestamp of the 1st track (where it fades out) and the timestamp of the next track, where it fades in. This would make positioning tracks so much easier.
I've even had songs that Ive set to "no transition" begin transitioning. Incredibly infuriating how buggy this feature is for all these months with no updates.
Yes, I feel the same way. I think there’s a minimum of a song that has to play. I love this feature because I’m a fitness instructor and this allows me to keep the music upbeat without slowing down the energy when a slow intro comes in or when it reaches the outro. But, sometimes songs have a long intro and I want to skip the intro to get to the upbeat part. This is incredibly frustrating because it limits my creativity. Spotify please fix this issue!!
Same here, some songs pick up my mixes fine and others keep defaulting to it's own 8 bar auto in the wrong spot. PLEASE FIX this is such a great feature!
