[Mobile][Connect] Bluetooth connection issues

(ANDROID 6) This has been an ongoing issue for several years; whenever I connect my phone to my bluetooth speaker/earphones, Spotify immediately kills itself and sends the app to the background. Music keeps playing. Whenever I try to open the app, the UI will briefly show and disappears immediately. There's no widget either which there normally is if you leave the app so skipping a song is impossible. I learned how to deal with this by making pre-selected playlists but no premium-user, like myself, should go through such a process just to listen to their favourite music. Please fix this as it's an issue with a lot of people for several years now.
