To start investigating this, we understand you’ve already tried reinstalling the app, but to be sure that we're on the same page - did you use the steps for a clean reinstall mentioned in this article? If not, give it a try to see if it makes any difference.
Also, does this happen with all the Bluetooth devices you've tried? If you don't have another one, you can borrow one from a friend or a family member just to test it out.
Lastly, include in your next response the OS version of your device, along with the Spotify version you're currently running to continue investigating the case.

Hello. I have the same problem on my Samsung S24 Ultra. I tried reinstall, clean cache, android auto etc. I use simple bluetooth connection and the music stops only when I have Spotify app opened. If my phone is locked or on some other app the music keeps playing after bluetooth disconects.

Could you share with us what the phone's OS version is, along with your Spotify app version?
Does this happen only when connecting to the car via Bluetooth or with any Bluetooth device and has this behaviour begun after a recent app/ OS update or has this always been the case on your end?
