New "Create cover art" nowhere to be found on the app?

I was excited to get a notification about being able to create playlist art on the app itself as I'm a designer and I've often created covers for my playlist. But I've clicked on the three dots on any playlist as instructed, but the feature is nowhere to be found on the drop down menu? My partner took a look at his and couldn't see it either. I know my Spotify app is updated to the latest version so I know that's not the problem. Has anyone else been able to find or use this feature yet?

The feature is currently still gradually rolling out to users, so if you're not seeing it at the moment, rest assured it’s coming your way. In the meantime, make sure you're always running the latest version of Spotify so you don't miss out on any updates.

I heard there was a new feature the Creating Custom Cover Art, in Beta. I got a pop up on the app telling me to try it out, but I can’t find the option anywhere. I updated the App as well. The version of Spotify I’m on is 8.9.90.84. I checked the three dots by the playlist, tried on an already made playlist and a newly created one as well.

Hey @sapiofluidfandomnerd,

No worries! If this feature's been enabled for you, you should be able to access it via these steps:

• Go to Your Library. and select the playlist you wish to create art for .
• Tap the three dots at the top of the playlist.
• Select Create cover art.
• From that screen you can:
  1. Add text to the cover art.
  2. Insert your own images to the cover art.
  3. Edit the background colors.
  4. Add stickers.
• When you’re finished, tap Save.

I'm afraid that if you don't see the feature, that means it's currently not enabled for your accounts (although it seems to have been briefly available for @sapiofluidfandomnerd).

As mentioned by @Yordan, this is a gradual rollout, so for now, just make sure to keep your app updated 🙂

The app & website both say I should be able to use the beta feature “create album art” but when I press the three dots button in a playlist that I created it isn’t there

So, nearly everytime I open Spotify, it begins notifying me of the latest and greatest features. Conceptually, that's all good. But when my version of the app (which is fully updated) doesn't have access to those features anyway, it's a bit annoying and feels rude that I have to clear away all these ads/promos for them, especially while driving or working out. Lately, it's been the "custom playlist covers" thing. This morning, the app even gave me a "click here to try it now" button on the pop up... Which just brought me to the same old 'create new playlist' screen instead. The new playlist feature thing sounds cool and all, though I really don't mind not having access to it right away. That said, it feels a bit weird and almost like taunting that Spotify is pushing so hard for me to use these features that I straight up don't have

Keep in mind that this feature is still rolling out. If you can't see it yet, we'd suggest keeping your app up to date so you don't miss when it becomes available for you.

For some reason, I don't have the option to create playlist covers. I have updated the app and reinstalled it. I remember seeing a pop up when I opened spotify yesterday but now the option to make playlist covers isn't showing on any playlist

First time I read about this feature, guess it's still in the process of rolling out? I'm from The Netherlands and have a Samsung phone, but I don't have this feature either. The last time my app was updated was on January 13th and there's been no new update since. Really looking forward to this feature though!

Hi, I previously had access to this (and used it!), but no longer do. However, when I opened the app, I received a Valentine's Day themed pop up (featuring Sabrina Carpenter) telling me I can update my playlist cover art. When I clicked on the pop up and went to my playlists, I no longer had the option to create cover art.

There is a custom art editor and announced recently but it's not available on my phone. I made sure my app is up to date.
