I have android KitKat and the newest version of Spotify, typical no sound issues, reinstalled the app TWICE, which is infuriating because I live in offline mode to save data...force stopped and restarted...nothing. I can find absolutely nothing to help me in the Spotify community and troubleshooting tools.
Someone help, I've been a premium member forever and I'm ready to just leave and switch to something g else.

I had the same problem. Turned on crossfade and it seems to have corrected the issue

I was getting no sound and play stoppage when using off-line mode on my android tablet. Put a few seconds of cross-fade and it seems to fix it.
