Not showing in notification bar

Lately spotify hasn't been appearing in my notification bar when I'm playing music in the background, doesn't show up on my lock screen, and doesn't pause when other apps play audio. This has only started happening in the last two or three weeks. Has anyone else had this?

Yeah there seems to be some sort of regression going on with recent versions, I got same problems with Nexus 5X. When the issue appears Spotify also does not pause music during calls or react in any way if headphones are disconnected.
