In the spotify settings it says downloading can take up more disk space...so where does the music actually stores? Is it in phone/external storage or in the spotify app l..tq

Hi there and welcome to the community!

You can choose where Spotify stores your music yourself! Just head into Spotify's settings and scroll down to Other, select Storage and choose between Device storage or SD card. At music quality you can choose at what quality your music will sync, if you choose a higher quality  your music will take up more disk space. I hope it's all clear now!
