Only shuffle mode with 2 different tablets

Hello,

is the play-mode gone in the free tablet version? I have two tablets, the first an Acer Iconia A3-A20FHD (10 inch, Android 4.4) and the second a Telekom Puls (8 inch, Android 5.0). On neither tablets I can play individual songs, only the #?$@ shuffle mode. I have reinstalled the spotify app on both devices, I did a factory reset on the Acer tab, and I registered a completely new account on the Telekom tab (without facebok as before). Nothing. I can't believe that it is a problem with my devices, since they are completely different. 

Hence my question: is there now only shuffle mode in the free tablet version?
