Solved!

Open source licenses not available in Android app.

Device

Mi A2 lite

Operating System

Android 9 (API Level 28)

Build

 8.4.88.150

My Question or Issue

When I open "Third party licenses" within the app settings, I get an empty page stating: "Licenses are not included in this build, they'll be automatically generated for release builds. Consult the FOSSDEPS team for more information."

As I'm using the regular app version installed from Google play I believe this is a release build which should contain licences of all free software libraries used in this build (actually I believe it is a legal requirement to ship all relevant licences or at least link them within the app).

The search for any "FOSSDEPS team" didn't get me any further

Hi there!

I know it sounds simple, but it's often overlooked. Could you try restarting your device? If that doesn't help, try a quick clean reinstall of the app. Just follow these steps.

Let me know how it goes.

Indeed reinstalling did the job. Quite unfortunate to need to download the offline library again, but the licenses can be accessed now. Thanks!
