Playback stutters and has cracks

Hey, I have spotify premium on my galaxy S8 and for a while now no matter what song I play the song will have random pauses throughout, when it should be playing in one continuous stream. Most of the songs I have are already downloaded locally to my phone so I dont get how they can't be played through continuously. Has anyone had this issue cause it's really been annoying me.
