Podcast Playlist total playtime not showing

My podcast playlist on the phone is no longer showing the total playtime hours.(On my windows desktop app it still does).
I tried reinstalling and starting a new playlist, neither worked. I also added a song to the playlist and then a run time started but only counting the song. 

Has the total time feature been removed for podcasts?
Also I am unhappy with the removal of the add to homescreen option on specific playlists. I didn't realise this was taken away before reinstalling and I'm very unhappy about it as I lost my shortcuts.

Sorry should have mentioned - it updated September 12th 2023 to this version mentioned above  8.8.70.532
(podcast playlist time still not working)

Just updated this morning and still 0 minutes and still no three dots to
add to playlist in the New Episodes.

Still showing 0 minutes for months now. Realistically, I have about 12 hours of podcasts on the playlist right now. Running the latest Spotify 8.8.78 on the latest Apple iOS 17.0.3

Yes, still experiencing this issue, no change. Spotify is up to date.

If you're still experiencing this behavior, don't forget to send us the exact Spotify version you're running on the affected device. Make sure to send us the make/model and OS of your device as well.

It updated late October to the new version but still not working. Thank you 🙂

Just an update on iOS side - I’m at iOS 17.1.1 and Spotify 8.8.86 (updated
yesterday 11.9.23) and still at 0 minutes on my playlist.

My Question or Issue

When I have podcast episodes in a playlist, only some of them are included in the playlist's duration. To explain with an example, if I have a playlist of two podcast episodes and they are both one hour long, it is a very common for the playlist's length to be listed as "1 hr"

The relevant team has confirmed this is now fixed. If you still have the issue, we'd recommend performing a clean reinstall of the app to make sure you're running its latest version. We appreciate all your reports about this.

So is this going to be fixed or is this purposely done. I'm having the same issue. It was working fine then all of a sudden it disappeared and it's been gone for months now. How do we fix it. Its Really annoying cause I'm using Spotify to track my listening hours and there's no real way for me to do it without re listening to the track to see the length which is very time consuming. Please fix ASAP!!

Thanks for reaching out in this thread!

 

A fix for this was released in a previous app update (mentioned earlier in the thread by @OscarDC), so the total playlist time should now appear in the app. Just to make sure we cover all bases, could you double-check so that you're running the latest version?

 

Should this persist, however, could you send us some more details on what's happening from your end? For example - were things working for you again after the fix and then resurfaced just recently? Or, is this the first time that you've experienced this app behavior?

 

You also mention that you need to re-listen to the tracks to check the length, just to clarify, are you unable to see both individual track times, as well as the playlist total time? It would be great to know what device and operating system you're using too, along with the Spotify version.
