Podcast restarting when I press pause

I've been listening to old episodes of the podcast Gilmore Guys, and suddenly whenever I pause it, the podcast starts from the beginning of the episode and I have to work out where I left off. It didn't do it until this evening, and only seems to be happening with this podcast. Help!

I've still been experiencing this issue on the desktop application for several months, but I've discovered a workaround. If I am listening to a podcast on my desktop and pause it, then it will restart from the beginning when I press play again. However, if I listen to a podcast on my desktop while also running the Spotify mobile app in the background on my phone, then pausing functions correctly. I'm guessing it has something to do with the Spotify Connect feature using your phone to store your place in the podcast, but the desktop app alone pausing is broken.

I actually managed to solve this problem. For me, the problem was that spotify on my pc and phone were connected. So, to fix this just 1) place your spotify on offline mode on your phone(if its an android), or 2) close the app on your phone.
