[Podcasts] New Episodes feed is broken

[Podcasts] New Episodes feed is broken

When I scroll down my New Episodes feed to check what I've missed, at a certain point the entire feed disappears (it looks like everything gets pulled up to the top) and I'm left with a black screen. It will reset after several minutes, but every time I try to scroll down at a certain point the same issue will recur. Sometimes also happens when I press the download option or add it to My Episodes.

This has been a recurring issue for more than a month now, I keep hoping Spotify will fix it but it still hasn't happened. Photos posted below are from June 19 and July 14.

Hi, clean install did not work for me. This has been going on for I think 5+ months now and is rather annoying, so hoping there can be a fix!

When I open Spotify on my google pixel 9 pro it immediately freezes and crashes, I've restarted my phone, cleared cache, and deleted and reinstalled Spotify and nothing works

My Question or Issue

When I go to My Library, the New Episodes playlist is pinned to the top. The first time I select the New Episodes playlist after opening Spotify, it always minimizes the app (it goes off the screen). It works normally after the first time

I have an android, Pixel 6. When I open Spotify and click on new episodes, the app closes out and puts me back to my phone home screen. Then I open it again and I can successfully click on new episodes.

I have the exact same problem on my Pixel 6, and it's been like this for months. Updating the app does not solve it.

Whenever I open the New Episodes playlist on my android device, it opens the playlist for one second then crashes the app. Once I restart the app I can access the playlist like normal. This does not occur on any other playlist.

My Question or Issue

I have a pixel 8 and almost every time I click on "new episodes" in my library my app crashes and I have to restart it.

Please please please fix this. It's been over a month and it's incredibly incredibly frustrating. I have tried every suggested fix to no avail.

This is happening to me as well (Galaxy S23 Ultra on Android 14) - I tried clean uninstall and reinstall w/o success. I do use the built in widget "optimization" to clear phone cache a few times a day. Wondering if this is causing any issues?

Tapping your library - New Episodes - crashes app

Opening again fixes the issue. Until next time I use it. Reinstalled and problem remains.

The first I click on the new episode playlist during a session, the app will crash. Once I reopen the app and click new episodes and no issue. Been happening for months now. I was hoping it was a bug in an update in the app but at this point I have no idea.

My Question or Issue

For months now, the first time I open Spotify's New Episodes playlist each day, the app will close(crash?) (as long as there is a new episode from that day I believe). After it crashes once, accessing that playlist is fine for the rest of that day. While the actual post describes a different issue, it seems the same issue that some of the users commenting on this post later on describe: https://community.spotify.com/t5/Android/Podcasts-New-Episodes-feed-is-broken/m-p/6190596/highlight/....

My Question or Issue

App crashes when "New Episodes" is chosen. Also tends to erase Que after it crashes. Had anyone encountered this and found a resolution, very annoying. Thanks

I had this problem for months on a Motorola, changed to Pixel 7 and after less than a week, having the same issue. Really annoying .

Tried flushing cache, reinstalled, no change.

Android - Pixel 9 Pro
New Episodes automatically closes the Spotify App the 1st time you access it. Then after you access it again it work. Annoying. It has been doing this for at least 1 year

Add me to the list of people with this issue - annoying rather than a real problem, but you expect better after this bug has been around for so long

My Question or Issue

Every morning when I go to open the Spotify app for the first time and go to the New Episodes tab, it immediately crashes and I'm forced to reopen it.  I don't experience any other crashing throughout the day.

Another one, every time I open New Episodes when phone/app have been inactive for a while, the app closes.

Phone: Pixel 5a

OS: A14

App version: 9.0.20.604

Same exact issue with the app closing when going to new episodes. Force stopping and clearing app cache did not resolve.

Exact same issue here on Android. Fully reinstalled and still same issue.
