Podcasts no longer remember position after pause

My Question or Issue

I've been listening to podcasts for about half a year through the Spotify Android app. Until last week, when I would pause, I could return later and resume the episode where I left off. Last week, that stopped working, and now I have to guess at where I left off when I resume the episode. Is there a way to get the app to remember my position in the episode the way it used to?
