Queue based on Liked Songs does not maintain order after app restart

Queue based on Liked Songs does not maintain order after app restart

I have tested this on a premium account on both:

Motorola G Power, Android 11, Spotify 8.7.28.1217

Google Pixel 4a, Android 12, Spotify 8.7.28.1217

Steps to replicate:

1 - Open Liked Songs

2 - Sort by Title

3 - Play any song from the list

4 - Open Now Playing

5 - Open Queue, upcoming songs will be from Liked Songs, sorted by Title

6 - Restart App

7 - Open Now Playing

8 - Open Queue, upcoming songs will be from Liked Songs, sorted by Recently Added

It seems like the app is repopulating the queue based on the song and source list, but in the case of Liked Songs it is not reading the current sort order of the list.

Hello there @dellik

Nice to hear from you 💚

At the moment, there does not seem to be a way to keep the list that way, you could take it up in Ideas

But, everytime you use the app, you can choose the order you want within seconds,at the push of a button.

Thanks for reaching out

Hi @Taylith,

Thanks for the reply. Just to confirm, are you talking about reordering the song list or the queue? At the moment, my best solution is to go back into Liked Songs, find the song that I'm at, and restart playback.

Thanks!

Hey once again.
What you're saying is you can sort your liked songs according to title or any other filter and the queue will follow that arrangement.
Then, when you open up the app later,it no longer follows that queue,am I correct?

If so,I was saying there's no definite way to keep the queue locked at the moment, I'm sorry.
Once again, you can post it in the ideas board to see if other users won't back you up
