Recent Increased in Data Usage

I use Spotify a lot, and I have the quality set to high, which it has been since I started using spotify, however recently my data usage for spotify has gone through the roof. My last 3 billing cycles spotify data usage ranged from 400Mb to 800Mb in a month, which is normal, sinice i use it more than any other app. The end of last month it shot up to 1G and now I'm 9 days into my billing cycle and it's already at almost 1G. What's the deal?
