Solved!

Removed the ability to shuffle play all playlist in a folder?

In the new update for the Android app, it seems they removed the option to play all playlist in a folder, is that true? I used it all the time because I follow a lot of playlist and to be able to listen to them all in shuffle mode where fantastic... 😞 So is it really true or am I missing something?

I put solved in quotations, since the "solution" is that Spotify has permanently removed the feature and we have to vote for it as an idea to get it back. Which will of couse never happen...

Got this from SPOTIFY just now:

Thanks for getting back in touch.

We can confirm this feature has been removed, we're sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

We're always testing things by adding or removing features to make Spotify better overall. We’re sorry that this means you’re not able to use the app like you could before.

We can't say if or when any specific features will be back. But as soon as we’ve got anything to announce, we’ll let everyone know over on the Spotify Community.

We've passed on your feedback in regards to this. Please let us know if there's anything else we can do for you.

All the best,

So, it will be solved installing an old version of the app ?

Yes. I have downgraded to the version below. Works so far. The problem is
that i can't auto update the apps without this one. But it works anyway.
Will use this until they fix it or block it. If they block I will use some
other service.

Yes, you can auto update the other apps, you have just to enter the details
for Spotify, it'll have three dots in the top right, you can uncheck "auto
update" only for Spotify.

Should be the 7.8.0.607 ?

You can still auto-update other apps. Just go to play store, then spotify, press the three dots on the top right, and untick auto-update. This will make sure that spotify will not be updated automatically but other apps will.

Version 7.7.0.1179 is the latest one with the button.

My Premium subscription will end the 28th March, bye Spotify...

In a nutshell. This is the only feature that kept me paying premium 😞

Why this post is marked as "solved"? The spotify team needs to see that urgent. Please, put the email to helpdesk here. THEY DID THE MOST STUPID THING EVER, they removed the perfect button. The only I used every day in my premium account. - Sorry for my bad english, we're angry in brazil too

Hey guys, please, spam this image on all spotify accounts and posts on facebook.

So why remove it just from Android?

Clearly this is a well used feature that you've removed from paying
customers without justification or reason.

It's making Spotify unusable for me and leaving me no other choice but to
terminate my membership.

Another work around: start playing the folder from the desktop app and then continue listening on your phone. As long as you don't start playing some other playlist it appears that the queue in the app consists of songs of all playlists in the folder.

Why would they take it away? I swear. I used it All the time. It's so annoying. Please let it come back.

New update yesterday. Yay, maybe they've listened to the crowd and reintroduced the play-all-songs-function. Alas, no, they hadn't. Please, please, please. Let us get what we want next time.

Yep, that's what I do nowadays... but I still want that "play all" button back.

Gonna cancel my premium account if this doesn't come back...

Agreed on all accounts. This is absolutely ridiculous. I recently created folders/playlists because there is zero organization to be found within the Your Music section. To go through the work of making several folders and hundreds of playlists only to find the shuffle option has disappeared is maddening to say the least. Updates should add new features and/or improve existing features, not taking perfectly operating features away.
