Issues with using "Search" - keyboard does not appear automatically

We received several reports from users about "Search" not working as expected on Android: the keyboard does not appear automatically when tapping on the magnifying glass icon.

That's very annoying to me as well, so much i have to voice this, i came here looking for this, in reddit there's a thread on this as well.

Oh i hate this behavior, once there was a reliable search, simple yet powerful with label, artist, year filters and no "suggestions" nonsense

Our tech team has made some changes backstage so this should now be fixed. Could you confirm if everything looks good on your end now?

If the issue persists, it's worth logging out and signing back in to your account to force a resync. You can also perform a clean reinstall of the app to get rid of any potentially corrupted cache and ensure you're running the latest version of Spotify available.

No nothing works the latest rollout broke Spotify search function causing dangerous safety issues for people who are driving now are required to tap extra amount of taps to force the keyboard to open to search for songs not only that my service advisor hung up on me because of my heightened aggravation with Spotify so I hope you find your tech support advisor and tell him that closing a chat on me with not going to stop me reporting this breakage of Spotify issues
