Shield audio stutter - after Spotify Connect

My Question or Issue

Audio playback is fine on my Nvidia Shield until I open the Spotify app on my phone (and select keep playing on Nvidia Shield) to skip songs etc. After that audio will begin to stutter severely. I checked the settings, it says Spotify connect, not Chromecast.

It's almost like the audio is being sent from my phone to the Shield while I'm too far away resulting in the classic Bluetooth stutter when out of range.

Turning off Bluetooth and wifi on my phone don't solve the problem until I restart the Shield (or Spotify app).

This doesn't always happen after opening the Spotify app on my phone. Just every now and then.

Could you try reinstalling the Spotify app on your Nvidia Shield?

Also, please run a clean reinstall of the app on your phone. This is often an overlooked step, but it’s more thorough than a regular one and can be helpful to get rid of any file that might be causing trouble. 

Let us know how everything works after this.
