Smart Shuffle breaks the ability to select certain songs in Liked Library

My Question or Issue

When Smart Shuffle is turned on in my Liked Library, it prevents me from playing certain songs. When clicking the song, nothing happens, just stops playing anything that is already playing. 

Once I turn off smart shuffle, the song I want to play is selectable

Thanks for reaching out & sorry to see you've been experiencing issues with the playback while Smart Shuffle is on!

As this is not something we're seeing being reported from multiple sides, I'd start with some troubleshooting here to see if we can resolve the issue on your end 🙂

Make sure your app is up to date, then try removing your cached data. After this is done, log out of the app and back in twice in a row to trigger a manual sync of all your settings and data.

In case this doesn't help out, try removing any Spotify-related files and install the app again. Make sure to follow the process for a complete clean reinstall of the app listed here.

In case the issue remains, if possible, have someone else log in with their Spotify account on your device. You can do the same on a different mobile device. The goal is to understand if the issue is device- or somehow account-related.

My Question or Issue

I have a liked songs playlist that is about 3000 songs. Whenever I click smart shuffle and then try to play a song in the playlist, nothing happens. I assume it is trying to smart shuffle the entire playlist in one shot, which takes too long. Would probably be wise to convert this to be more of a lazy-load approach on chunks of the playlist. I've ignored this issue for a while but its been months.
