My Question or Issue

My spotify app became unable to load any albums or playlists at all when I tried to use the app. I attempted to restart my device, check if the app and phone were up to date, unmounted the SD card and even tried a clean reinstall. But nothing seems to solve the issue.

For some reason, there are moments where it is able to load some of the home page but after that it resumes the endless loading when I try to open an album or playlist. The same thing happened when I put my phone on airplane mode.

Just to make sure I cover all of my bases, I'm not sure if it's something wrong with the internet; I had been using both Wifi and Mobile Data when playing and downloading music on Spotify before, and it worked just fine. This only became an issue today.

Hi there @SuperXCVI,

Thanks for reaching out and kudos for all the troubleshooting you've done!

This sounds quite odd, did it start happening after a specific event, such as an update - the UI one, for example? Does it affect other devices as well or just your phone? If you have a PC available, you can check with the desktop app and the Web Player. It'd be great if you can ask a friend or a relative to log in their own account on your phone to rule out if it might be account-related.

We also recommend resetting your device's network settings by going to Settings > General management > Reset > Reset network settings. It's also worth checking Spotify's settings within your device's ones and make sure it's allowed all necessary permissions and that there aren't any battery optimization settings on.

Keep us posted.

This is also happening to us, latest update on Samsung ZFlip 6. Nothing loads after the first few seconds, it only gives an infinite green wheel if you click on a specific playlist or really anything (we can't even get Liked Songs to load.)

We just had it start happening today. Downdetector is also having more reports than average.

Hey @Greenpier,

Thanks for joining the thread!

We think this might be related to the issue reported in this thread, which was forwarded to our tech team for further investigation. In order to be able to confirm that, it'd be great if you can give the steps in my previous response a try and let us know how it goes. Another thing worth trying is a clean reinstall of the app and restarting your device.

We'll be on the lookout.
