Songs keep skipping [Android]

Something has been going on with my Spotify player recently. As the title states, my songs keep getting skipped. I started playing some music and the player keeps skipping songs and pausing and unpausing the music at random. Sometimes it'll continuously skip songs and run all the way through my playlist. This happens both offline and online. I checked for malware on my device, and found nothing.

I dont know why, but resetting my phone's settings to default seems to have fixed the issue.

edit: Nevemind, that fixed nothing. Even resetting the phone did nothing. Further research shows it might be something with the phone's operating system.
