Speed Scrolling ??

If someone could help me with this... On my Samsung Android 7.0. phone. When I have a large list of any particular artists songs, I find a song that I want to add to the queue. When I select the song, the green bar appears on the right side and shoots off to the start or end of the list... So I go back and try again.. And like an **bleep**, I'll do this 7 or 8 times before I get frustrated and give up. If I attemp to move a touch to the left, it just jumps to that song rather than add to the queue.. is there a way to turn that speed scroll off? It's driv'in me NUTS!!! Would appreciate any thoughts please... Mahalo
