Spotify Can't Normalize Local Files

I've looked through the community and found this has been an issue for years but hasnever been addressed.  When you upload local files to Spotify, the volume normalization feature doesn't work on them, which in turn means that every local file is significantly louder than the rest of the songs listened to.  You can turn volume normalization off to lessen this, but then you have all the other issues of having that feature turned off where some other songs are significantly quieter or louder than others with no rhyme or reason.  Was hoping Soptify might fix this but seeing several posts on this issue from as far back as 2020, maybe even earlier, doesn't give me hope.
