Spotify Connect desync when skipping a song

My Question or Issue

I am using the Spotify Android App to control playback on my Desktop PC. However, whenever I skip a song using the mobile device, it shows a different song and becomes out of sync (The desktop device switches to the next song as expected, the mobile device to a random one like in shuffle mode).

This issue seems to not happen when using shuffle mode or when at least one web-browser instance of Spotify is active.

Any Ideas how to fix that? (Already reinstalled the App on the Android and Desktop device)

Thanks for posting in the Community and the troubleshooting already tried.

Could you rule out network related issues between the mobile and desktop app by using a hot spot from the mobile device for the desktop device?

Does using a different mobile device bring different results? How about a different Spotify account?
