Spotify Connect won't show WiFi connected devices

Another issue; I have 5(!) WiFi connected devices which can play music with my laptop, Android phone, stream movies however not with Spotify. It seems not to be able to recognize ANY of them? The only advice I can find on spotify.com is to get some gear which is compatible with spotify connect..

What is up with that? Why do I have to buy more add-ons or even more new speakers? If every software program works, then why can't you ppl make this work? It doesn't even support DLNA, even while users have been asking for it for years now..
