My Question or Issue

My issue is that all of a sudden My Spotify App won't connect me to My Sony TV, when ever I click devices on the app and select my TV it just keeps trying to connect.

 

I tried to Clear Cache and Data on both my TV and Phone ,uninstall and reinstall on Both Devices, nothing seems to ve working.

 

I tried logging out and in, and tried both methods , via code and QR code, it successfully logs me in, but yet it won't allow me to select my andorid TV.

Sorry to see you've been having issues with playing from your Android TV.

Here are the troubleshooting steps we can try that come to mind:

  • Make sure your TV's firmware is up to date
  • See if Spotify is allowed to display over other apps. Go to Settings > Apps > Special app access > Display over other apps
  • Make sure you're using the same internet connection on your mobile device and TV
  • See if a different internet connection like e.g. a hotspot would yield a different result

If the problem persists, it's a good idea to reach out to your TV manufacturer for further assistance.
