My Question or Issue
I can't download my playlist on my chromebook to listen offline, I re-installed the app, looked in my settings, clicked more options, and found nothing. Is there any way I can listen to my playlist offline on my Chromebook?
hi
Hi there folks,
Thanks for reaching out to the Community!
@kyLERm, sounds like you might be using the Web Player, which doesn't support offline playback. If your Chromebook is a 2018 model or later, you can install the app from the Google Play Store instead.
There's more info on how to listen offline with the Spotify app in this article.
Hope this clears things up. Cheers 🤘
Hi Yordan,
I have been using the Spotify app, is there anything else I could try?
Hey @kyLERm,
Thanks for getting back to us.
That's odd. You mentioned you tried reinstalling the app, but just to confirm, have you checked the recommendations here to perform a clean reinstall? If you haven't, you can follow the Android steps to see if that makes any difference.
Also, make sure you're logging in to the right account with the Premium subscription. If that doesn't do the trick, could you send a screenshot of how things look from your end? Be sure to remove any kind of personal info from it.
Keep us posted.
Hi Novy,
So far nothing has worked, I have attached screenshots.
Hey @kyLERm,
Thanks for the screenshots!
Looks like you've installed the Web Player as a web app (more info on those here) and that's why you're still not seeing this option. Can you try installing the Android version of the Spotify app instead and give it another go? You can find how to do that here.
Keep us posted.
