Spotify Playlists

Spotify Playlists

My Question or Issue

I have noticed several times now that a playlist generated by spotify will have different songs listed depending on which device I look at the playlist.

Ex. All Out 70s includes "Suzi Quatro Stumblin' In" when i look in one place, but not when I look on another device (please refer to attachments)

This is just one of many!

But why are they not alike??

Hey there @Angelpsychotic,

Thank you for your reply.

Can you confirm if you mean the web player or the desktop app when you mention your laptop?

If it's the web player you can see what @Mario mentioned about the web player in his answer.

If it's the desktop app - log out > force exit/quit the app > log back in on both mobile + desktop app to sync your account info.

Keep us posted 🙂

Cheers!

Hi there @Angelpsychotic,

Thanks for reaching out about this in the Community 🙂

According to your taste and habits, the final version of any playlist created by Spotify will have a selection of the best tracks for you.

The web player currently shows a non-personalized version of the playlist, as it doesn’t require authentication. However, you'll find a personalized version in your app.

If you have any other questions, don't hesitate to let us know!

Hi Mario,

that does not explain why the playlists differ on 2 different devices where I'm logged in with the same user?! I'm logged in to Spotify on both my laptop and my phone and

I mean my taste in music is the same either way 😄

They're now sync'ed after I got a new mobile phone (so I guess logging out of just one device is enough 🙂 )

And I was referring to the  desktop app btw.
