Spotify Sound Settings not working in Android Auto

Spotify Sound Settings not working in Android Auto

Samsung Galaxy S7, Android 8, Premium plan, version 8.7.6.1071.
Simple problem: I can't enable Spotify Sound Settings, like the equalizer, when my phone is hooked up to my car (2022 Mazda3 Hatchback) via Android Auto, or even just through the USB cord. The settings are changeable, like the individual frequency sliders, but there's no change to the sound.

Hey @Splungeworthy,

Thanks for reaching out about this in the Community!

When using a connected device, like a Bluetooth Speaker/ USB connected device or your car's stereo, the adjustments that you do in Spotify's equalizer won't have any effect, as this is controlled by the output device. Spotify EQ settings should work if you've connected via AUX.

You can try using Samsung's built in Equalizer or check if your car's stereo offers this option.

Hope this clears things up. Don't hesitate to reach out gain if you have questions.
