Spotify control issue with lg v20

My Question or Issue

 Just today i noticed that lg v20 does not seem to be able to control spotify using its music player from the second screen. It was working fine until today. Im pretty sure it's on spotify's end since im able to use it nornally with other music players. It just says play media to control which opens up spotify. Then the next,play and pause button do not appear anymore on the second screen like it used to. 

I have tried reinstalling but still not working.
