I own a Samsung Galaxy S21+ and ever since I got the newest Android update (Android 15 - One UI 7.0) a couple weeks ago I haven't found the way to show the Spotify controls on the lock screen. The notifications toolbar is now split into two categories, where the Spotify player automatically shows with the device settings and stuff instead of the other app's notifications; I guess this means it's not considered an "app notification" anymore hence why it's not on the lock screen. However, it's not possible either to choose a Spotify widget for the lock screen, which leaves me with no choice to see the player without unlocking the device and entering the app or opening the toolbar. This is really annoying and I really hope there is something I can do to fix it because I'm not paying for this service only to have this kind of trouble... Any idea of what I can do? If I should report this issue as a bug I'd thank you a lot in advance if you told me how to do it because I didn't find that option either 🙂

Hey @miguele_as,
Apologies for the late reply here 🙂
What we'd suggest here is following the steps from this Google thread. Enabling the setting instead of disabling it should do the trick for you!
You should be able to locate it somewhere under the lock screen settings of the mobile device.
Hope this helps! Let us know if any further questions arise 🙌🏼
Hi there, @miguele_as,
Welcome to the Spotify Community!
Just to confirm, have you checked if all notification options are toggled on for the app? You can do this in your Android settings > Apps > Spotify. While you're there, make sure Spotify isn't being restricted by your battery settings either.
After that, try force-stopping the app and starting it again to see if that makes the player show up.
Should the issue persist, there's this other thread where users reported that disabling the "Ubiquitous Manager Service" made the lock screen widget disappear, so check if it's also disabled on your end and enable it to see if that does the trick. You can find it in your Android settings > Apps > Show system apps.
Let us know how it goes 👍
Thank you for your help! Sadly, none of the things you mentioned worked. Regarding the "Ubiquitous Manager Service", I cannot find it at all in my device, even when showing the system apps. My phone language is Galician but I don't think the app is supposed to appear with a different name since none of the other system apps have a translated name either.

No worries for the delay! Thank you so much for your help, it worked!!! I guess it's not the same it was before the update but it does work for what I need it so it's fine with me 🙂
