My Question or Issue

So recently, whenever I put my phone to sleep, aka the screen goes black, Spotify glicthes once, and then stops, and I have to open my phone and re-open the app again. At first I thought it was an issue with my phone being very low on storage space, to the point where Spotify itself would alert me, but I started to realize that this only happened at my school. Whenever I was nearby my Spotify app would occasionally, at complete random, close itself after I put my phone to sleep. I'm not discouting the memory issue with my phone, but after coming to the realization that it only happens in radius of my school I'm starting to wonder if maybe it's an issue with my data usage

Hey @Znx,

Thanks for reaching out to us.

Let's do a clean reinstall. Before that, you'd have to separate your devices for offline listening here.

Then follow these steps:

1. Go to Settings on your phone.
2. Select "Apps".
3. Tap "Spotify" in the app list.
4. Tap on "Storage> Clear Data" for a clean reinstallation.
5. Tap Uninstall.
6. Open Google Play and install the Spotify Music app.

There is something else you could do if that does not help. Go to:

1. Mobile Settings> Apps> Spotify> Permissions. Allow everything you see there.
2. Mobile settings> Apps> Spotify> Battery> Optimize battery usage> select top All (not optimized for apps)> Spotify> disable
3 . Restart the phone. Then everything should be fine 🙂

Let us know how it goes!
