Hi,
the Spotify app crashes on my Android device when I try to open a playlist within a folder. The folder was created with the windows desktop app (1.0.52.725.g943b26a8).
This issue accured since the last update of the Android app (I guess).
Already reinstalled the software on my desktop and my android device. Also tried to rearrange the playlists in the folder or create new ones within the folders on my desktop. Also tried new folders with playlists. The android app just wont open the playlists within folders anymore - it'll crash after one second.
HINT: When I search for my playlist I can open and play it just fine. It seems to be an issue with the folder structure, not the playlist itself.
Isn't that feature supported anymore on android devices?
Device: Samsung SM-T110
Android Version: 4.2.2
Spotify Version: 8.2.0.788 armV7
Does anybody got the same issues or knows what to do about it?
Solved! Go to Solution.
I found a fix. The version I have is 8.3.0.681 which is the same version still on the play store at this time. I found a later version here. http://spotify.en.uptodown.com/android/download
I had to enable install from unknown location. This is version 8.4.0.534 and it works fine with the folders.
If the problem is on a tablet, it only happens in landscape mode.until it I'd fixed,
The workaround is to open the playlist in portrait mode first
I'm having the same issue (and have had it for 2+ weeks). I've yet to find a workaround, and reinstalling the Spotify app doesn't help.
Same here. Samsung galaxy tab s2 8.0, model # : SM-710, android 6.0.1, spotify : 8.2.0.788 armV7. Only when I open a certain folder, I might add.
I'm also having the exact same problem, reinstalled and wiped the cache twice, still happening. Galaxy Tab S2.
