As Per said, you can't expect them to support every combination of ROM and phone - just the number of official phones with different official ROMs is more than enough

As an experiment I just tried your scenario. I started playing a song on 3g then after 30 seconds switched on wifi. The song continued playing from the buffer. I had some skipping at the 3 minute mark because the wifi in my office is overloaded and not up to the speeds necessary to keep up, but it did continue. I switched off wifi and it continued on 3g no problem. After another 30 seconds I switched wifi back on and it played through to the 5 minute end.

So .... maybe there is an issue with your custom ROM 🙂

If you are streaming at the time then this is expected as it needs to re-establish a connection with Spotify servers (after re-establishing basic internet connectivity)

I would expect it to play in the buffer, and silently reconnect in the background.

I'm told we can't troubleshoot/support issues if they're occurring on a custom rom. Do you want to try on a factory rom? 😉

What?!?!

That is one of the most unrealistic, stupid and unthoughtful rules ever!

And no thanks - have you seen stock samsung roms?

Yes, I'm using it on my S3, love it 🙂

Be fair though. If one wanted to be able to fully support ALL the custom roms out there, one would need a QA army.

Ok, ok.

But have you tried a custom rom?

Also, your right. There are so many out there, and with so many users you would probably need at least a quarter of Earths population 😉

Or wifi/3G speeds 🙂

I rooted my S2 a while ago, but I want to keep my S3 vanilla, so no 🙂

Feels like we've reached a (grudging?) agreement here, so I'll close this now.

And thanks for trying that out, licenced.
